Bruce Byers has extensive experience designing programs and projects for clients, especially USAID and its contractors. I bring a systems approach to this design work, drawing from the best available information about what is needed in a given context and what has worked in similar contexts.
Communicating clearly and effectively in proposals is one of my specialties. In the last year, for example, I have provided project or program design services and served as a technical proposal writer for six leading USAID partners, including both for-profit firms and NGOs, on proposals dealing with biodiversity conservation, natural resources management, ecosystem services, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
Between 2008 and 2010 I was involved with the USAID/Colombia Conservation Landscapes Program from program design during the proposal process, through one and half years of implementation as the Senior Technical Advisor and Manager of the program, to the final evaluation and report. See:
